Material Handler Job Description

Orion RED, a leading manufacturer of retail store fixtures, is seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production and distribution processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Orderly Production and Distribution: Pull orders from inventory, deliver production materials and supplies where needed, and stage finished product for final distribution.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Locate and pack materials for shipping, document materials and records units delivered and location of units.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean, and learn and adhere to workplace safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Previous stock or inventory experience a plus, previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack is a must.
  • Licenses: Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
