Deburring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Deburring Specialist to join our team at Pequot Manufacturing. As a Deburring Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to grinding and related tools to remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharpen edges, or corners, or buff, hone, or polish metal or plastic work pieces.

• Operate machines to perform drilling, deburring, tumbling, or chamfering operations on metal parts.
• Load elements to be deburred into a tumbler or hopper and apply solutions and chemicals to parts to clean surfaces.
• Inspect results with appropriate gauges to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Work on complex parts requiring exacting tolerances.

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• No prior experience necessary for entry-level
• Ability to use computer to track time and work tasks, record finished pieces, and scrap
• Ability to perform very detailed hand work, with repetitive grasping and fingering while holding parts, applying various hand tools such as picks and files

The Deburring Specialist will be required to stand, walk, sit, manually manipulate, grasp, reach outward, speak, and bend or twist frequently. The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds is also required.
