About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical ICU Nurse to join our team at Queen of the Valley Medical Center. As a Providence caregiver, you will have the opportunity to deliver world-class health care with human connection and make a difference every day through your extraordinary care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the Medical Surgical ICU setting.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and manage patient conditions, including vital signs, medications, and treatments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course within 90 days of hire.
  • One year: Nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialty certification related to practice, PALS and/or NRP certification (for Relief Charge Nurse) upon hire.
