Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sports Medicine Specialist to join our team at JAG Physical Therapy. This role will involve providing top-notch athletic training services to individuals and organizations affiliated with our outreach programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective athletic training programs for contracted organizations, including creating policies and procedures manuals.
  • Provide on-site athletic training services for events and competitions, ensuring the health and safety of athletes.
  • Conduct injury assessments, provide treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning services, and document all interactions in accordance with state regulations and professional standards.
  • Maintain a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks.
  • Design and deliver educational programs on health and fitness topics to local schools, coaches, athletes, and communities.
  • Act as workers' compensation case manager, handling insurance information, referrals, claims tracking, and reporting within HIPPA/FERPA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists and physicians, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as ordering supplies and equipment, and maintaining inventory.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-approved program and BOC certification.
  • State licensure as an Athletic Trainer and current BLS certification.
  • 50 CEUs every two years, Department of Education clearance (if applicable), and Personal Liability Insurance.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to changing situations.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
