Position Details:
Location: Mt. Olive
Department: Quality Assurance
Reports to: QA Supervisor
Shift: Evening
Employment Type: Hourly
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct standardized qualitative and quantitative analyses to assess the physical, chemical, and microbiological characteristics of food products.
- Perform routine tests to ensure compliance with established standards regarding color, texture, nutrients, and microbiological content.
- Prepare laboratory samples and maintain accurate records of test results.
- Conduct microbiological and chemical analyses using established methods.
- Monitor product quality to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Provide training to QA personnel on relevant laboratory procedures.
- Engage in audits and other quality assurance functions as required.

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Strong understanding of arithmetic, algebra, and statistics.
- Ability to apply scientific principles to problem-solving.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing is preferred.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma is required; a degree in food microbiology or a related field is preferred.
