Job Summary

RailWorks is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment and company vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures using manufacturers' specifications and company standards.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including adjusting and repairing ignition, fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and steering systems.
  • Assist with inspections and safety checks to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Travel to field locations to provide repairs or maintenance as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in skilled mechanical repair of construction equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand procedural instructions and manuals.
  • Ability to keep accurate records and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in shop and field environments, with frequent physical activity and exposure to harsh weather conditions.
