Caseload: PreK-12, Conduct assessments, prepare reports, and assist with IEP documentation, perform Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), participate in IEP meetings.
A reputable educational institution is seeking to employ an educational psychologist. The hiring manager is eager to review applications and conduct interviews for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with educators, school leaders, guardians, and other specialists to foster a safe, healthy, and supportive educational atmosphere for all students.
- Conduct evaluations of students and generate psychological assessment reports to ascertain eligibility for special education services. Evaluations may encompass FBAs, Classroom Needs Assessments, and various specialized assessments.
- Assess students for potential risks to themselves or others and provide guidance to school administrators and teams regarding these evaluations as needed.
- Administer universal screening tools, manage data, and monitor progress to inform individual, classroom, and school-wide program development. A solid understanding of special education laws and regulations governing the identification of students with disabilities, including those who are English Language Learners, is crucial for this role.
Qualifications:
- Preferred experience in educational settings or pediatric environments.
- A Master's degree is required, with a preference for candidates possessing three years of relevant experience.
Educational Requirements:
- Master's degree in School Psychology.
- Valid School Psychologist License in Illinois.
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL).
Employment Type: Part-time, Contractual
