Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is mandatory
  • Basic computer skills are essential
  • Experience in inventory management and familiarity with medical and surgical supplies is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receives, sorts, and distributes clean linen to various departments.
  • Monitors inventory levels, including verifying counts from external laundry services, assessing wear and tear, and recommending replacements or repairs as necessary.
  • Ensures that supply items are maintained at designated par levels.
  • Documents all linen items delivered to different departments, tracking daily linen weight and reporting totals to the materials manager.
  • Labels patient chargeable supplies, ensuring accurate tagging and item matching.
  • Regularly inspects supplies for expiration dates and notifies the Purchasing department of any outdated items.
  • Organizes and distributes requested supplies to hospital and clinic departments.
  • Maintains appropriate stock levels in various departmental supply rooms based on established standards.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
