Job Overview

Position Summary:

  • As a Junior Research Scientist in the Cardiovascular Discovery Pharmacology department, you will primarily operate within established protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to conduct in vivo studies aimed at evaluating cardiac performance in accordance with predefined procedures and ethical guidelines.
  • Provide essential weekend assistance to the team in monitoring animal health, administering compounds, collecting samples, and supporting laboratory operations.
  • Prepare, collect, and distribute various biological tissues for in vitro assessments and biomarker analyses (e.g., Western Blot, ELISA, histological examinations).
  • Potential involvement in breeding and maintaining animal colonies.
  • Assist in laboratory management tasks, including inventory control and organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in academic or industry settings.
  • Experience with small animal handling, including compound administration and blood sampling via various methods.
  • Proficient in laboratory environments.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively meet project deadlines.
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative team atmosphere.
