About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter Specialist to join our team at Sam's Club. As a Meat Cutter Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our members receive high-quality meat products while delivering exceptional customer service.

Salary

The estimated hourly wage for this position is $20-$25 per hour.* This compensation package also includes performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Meat Products: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations; providing meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications (for example, cutting, slicing, grinding, and wrapping meat products).
  • Drive Sales: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure total club meets member expectations; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; be flexible to the needs of the business; track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
  • Ensure Quality and Standards: Maintain quality and standards for high-volume meat products; eliminate waste; secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise; assist members with purchasing decisions; and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Qualifications: 6 months' experience working in a fresh production department; must be 18 years of age or older.
