Job Opportunity:

Healthcare Talent Support is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. This is a temporary assignment with the potential to extend or become a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients in an inpatient setting.

Label and process specimens according to established procedures.

Explain the process of venipuncture and specimen collection to patients in a clear and courteous manner.

Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.

Package specimens for transport and store them according to required temperature and protocols.

Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations, attend annual department trainings, and answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.

Requirements:

4+ years of Phlebotomy experience

Phlebotomy certification

Ability to perform venipuncture

Familiarity with specimen collection processing and blood sampling

Excellent computer skills

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8am - 1pm
