Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at the Navy Exchange. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, and restocking amenities.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaners, to ensure a high level of cleanliness.
  • Empty wastebaskets, dust, and polish room furniture to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Wash and disinfect bathroom areas, including toilets, sinks, and showers.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen areas, including stoves, ovens, and refrigerators.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of the complimentary breakfast bar.
  • Perform laundry operations, including washing, drying, and folding linens and uniforms.
  • May be required to possess a valid state driver's license to travel to other lodging facilities as required within the normal scope of duties.
Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including furniture and cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
Working Conditions:

The Housekeeping Attendant will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. The ability to work in a team environment and maintain a clean and safe work area is essential.
