Job Overview

The Assembler role at Myers Industries involves taking various molded products and transforming them into finished goods through trimming and/or assembly, adhering to quality and efficiency standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pull and review work instructions prior to commencing a job, ensuring production priorities are met.
  • Verify that all necessary information and tools required for each job are in place before work begins.
  • Retrieve products for trimming or assembly and relocate them to designated areas upon completion.
  • Utilize various methods to finish molded products, including hand and power tools, pallet jacks, hot irons, and open flames.
  • Complete product labels and ensure product identification throughout each operation.
  • Conduct final inspections to guarantee product excellence before shipping to customers.
  • Utilize a reporting system to record production.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years' experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and write proficiently in English.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to operate and maintain industrial equipment.
Working Conditions

Able to work in a hot and humid environment for extended periods.

This role is situated in a typical manufacturing environment, which may include ovens, torches, rotating tools, forklifts, and other moving machinery.

Work environment may be loud.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain stationary with intermediate walking throughout the shift.

Frequently lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds alone and parts more than 50 pounds with assistance, and transport these up to 20 feet.

Frequently position self to maneuver around parts, materials, and molds.

Must be able to operate hand tools and write legibly.
