Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Configuration Manager to join our team at Hyve Solutions. As a Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for managing product structure trees to define the BOMs (Bill of Materials) of new and existing products. This role requires a strong understanding of product lifecycle management best practices and the ability to optimize product structure to ensure product configurability and commonality of components across products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage product structure trees to define BOMs for new and existing products
  • Optimize product structure to ensure product configurability and commonality of components
  • Manage a team of 3-4 configuration managers, developing their skillset and ensuring best practices
  • Determine team priorities and define configurations and options for business development and sales
  • Act as an advocate for Product Lifecycle Management best practices, methods, and processes
  • Drive standardization of options within a product family to reduce complexity of product design, configuration, build, and cost
  • Manage obsolescence of released/legacy products

Requirements:

  • BA degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or related focus
  • 7+ years of experience in computer hardware/semiconductor industry in roles such as product engineering, manufacturing engineering, configuration engineering, manufacturing, materials management, field service, or product support
  • Experience working with teams in multiple locations and time zones
  • Knowledge of working with different PLM systems, including Agile and/or Fusion
  • Experience within the server and/or storage markets
  • Experience with BOMs, CIP, and CES, and NSO
  • Attention to detail and ability to work on complex configurations of products with a team
  • Ability to work in a diverse, dynamic work environment
