About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Turn Technician to join our team at Invitation Homes. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repair functions at single-family residential properties during periods of vacancy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repair work required on vacant homes as assigned by the market leadership team
  • Identify and communicate any adjustments to the scope of work or associated costs required to restore the home to Invitation Homes' standards
  • Conduct quality control inspections of own work prior to advising Superintendent of turn project completion
  • Support project coordination goals identified by Superintendent that may require collaboration with third-party contractors
  • Follow all project timelines and communicate immediately if assigned repair work will not be completed as scheduled
  • Provide support with property inspections as required by the business
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including the possibility of resident-facing activities
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related experience
  • Broad knowledge of residential construction and mechanical systems
  • Ability to perform general residential maintenance work and repairs in various areas, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structural, HVAC (minor), and appliances
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to set, manage, and consistently meet goals and deadlines
  • Comfortability using mobile devices and various mobile applications
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
  • Must possess a current driver's license, automobile insurance, and any other licenses and/or certification as required by state law
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • EPA Certification, Type I and II
  • HVAC Certification
  • CPO certification (pool)
