Key Responsibilities:

Component Assembly: Assemble electromechanical systems and components following precise work instructions, engineering schematics, and IPC J-STD-001 standards.

Soldering Expertise: Execute high-quality soldering on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other assemblies, in compliance with IPC J-STD-001 standards.

Quality Inspection: Perform visual and mechanical evaluations of assembled products to confirm they meet quality benchmarks and specifications. Identify and rectify any discrepancies or issues.

Functional Testing: Conduct operational testing of assemblies to ensure proper functionality and performance. Utilize necessary testing instruments and tools.

Record Keeping: Maintain precise and comprehensive documentation of assembly procedures, inspections, and tests. Ensure all records are thorough and current.

Equipment Maintenance: Keep assembly tools and equipment in optimal working condition through regular maintenance and calibration. Report any malfunctions or concerns to the supervisor.

Process Improvement: Engage in continuous improvement efforts to refine assembly processes, enhance quality, and boost efficiency.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations. Ensure adherence to IPC J-STD-001 standards and organizational policies.

Teamwork: Collaborate closely with fellow assemblers, technicians, and engineers to ensure seamless production flow and address any assembly-related challenges.

Mentorship: Assist in the training of new team members on assembly practices and standards.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

IPC J-STD-001 certification is mandatory.

Prior experience in electromechanical assembly is advantageous.

Proficiency in soldering and assembly techniques in accordance with IPC J-STD-001 standards.

Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to identify and rectify defects.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Basic knowledge of testing instruments and tools.

Ability to work independently and meet production timelines.

$20 - $24 an hour
