Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver to join our team at Quail Park. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and ambulation, as specified in residents' individual service plans.
  • Engage residents in meaningful conversation and socialization while providing personal care assistance.
  • Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, and social condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and report promptly to a licensed nurse and/or supervisor.
  • Complete all forms to include but not limited to incident reports, and written and computerized documentation, as necessary for communication of resident information with other members of the Resident Care Team and with the licensed nurses, Executive Director.
  • Assist with resident meal times in dining room, serves meals in accordance with proper serving technique and ensures that food is presented in an attractive manner as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including making resident beds, emptying apartment trash, and tidying resident apartment daily and as needed or requested.
  • Turn down resident beds in the evening if requested.
  • Change resident linens and towels according to community laundry schedule, and as needed or as requested.
  • Maintain resident clothing and closet in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Assist in cleaning walkers, wheelchairs, and other resident equipment, as needed.
  • Assist with other housekeeping duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting preferred but not required.
  • Ability to take blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and O2 Sat or ability to learn.
  • Must maintain current CPR/First Aid credentials.
  • Must maintain current Food Handlers credentials.
  • Must maintain annual Continuing Education Credits.
  • Must enjoy working with seniors.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members, and team members.
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other team members.
  • Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure.
  • Subject to pre-employment screening TB testing and criminal background check.
