Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
We have openings for RNs who are passionate about delivering Primary Care in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This role involves direct patient interaction, including care for Veterans who require medical services through scheduled visits or walk-ins.
This department emphasizes a patient-centered approach and collaborative teamwork. Our primary care initiatives focus on creating and implementing a comprehensive care plan tailored to each patient and their family, prioritizing preventive health and education.
Specific Duties Include:
- Conducting video consultations
- Providing education to patients and families, including chronic disease management
- Coordinating and collaborating with the PACT team for effective patient care management
- Delivering healthy lifestyle coaching and educational resources
- Performing patient assessments with critical thinking
- Utilizing procedural skills and managing computerized records
- Exhibiting exceptional customer service.
Compensation and Benefits:
The VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes:

Work Schedule:
This position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Telework is ad-hoc, and this is not a virtual position.
Requirements:
Applicants must be U.S. citizens; non-citizens may only be appointed when qualified citizens are unavailable. All selected candidates for positions involving testing must undergo urinalysis for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service. A probationary period may be required, and selected candidates will undergo a background/security investigation.
Qualifications:
Basic requirements include proficiency in English, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and possession of a current, unrestricted nursing license from any U.S. state or territory. Preferred candidates will have 3-5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Physical Requirements:
Incumbents must possess the mental and physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position, which may include visual acuity, hearing, speech clarity, and manual dexterity. The role may involve lifting, carrying, pushing, and other physical activities.
