Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and training to individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental illness.

Job Summary:

The Registered Behavior Technician will work under the general direction of the Administrator, providing support and training to individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental illness. The successful candidate will assist with daily activities, monitor behavior, collect data, and implement skills training plans. This role requires a strong understanding of person-centered planning principles and the ability to create task analyses and determine areas that require additional support.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensure the supervision, safety, and well-being of individuals at all times.
  • Provide continuous active treatment programs for each individual, including informal and formal training and service objectives.
  • Monitor and support individuals' health and well-being, reporting observations to the Administrator and/or District Manager.
  • Ensure daily documentation of individual status, behavior, and treatment responses.
  • Participate in the provision and maintenance of a clean, safe, healthful, and nurturing environment.
  • Provide quality training and positive interactions with individuals at all times.
  • Adhere to and implement the Company's active treatment philosophy and goals, and organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician certification.
  • Direct Support Professional I and Direct Support Professional II certificates in accordance with Title 17 Requirements.
  • Current certification of Professional Crisis Management (PCM) training or other regional center-approved emergency intervention program.
  • At least two years of experience in a related field working with adults with developmental disabilities.
Work Environment:

The Registered Behavior Technician will work in an indoor residential to office setting with occasional outdoor work. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Sitting and standing with occasional bending, stooping, crouching, twisting, squatting, reaching, pulling, keying/fingering, reading, walking, driving, and repetitive motions.
