Job Title: Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Practical Nurse to join our team at the Woodland Center Correctional Facility. As a Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Practical Nurse will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care, administer medications, and perform various nursing tasks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Assist with medical procedures, such as injections and blood draws.
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan.
  • One year of experience as a licensed Practical Nurse, preferably in a correctional facility or similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
