Semi-Trailer Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Semi-Trailer Technician to join our team at Great Western Trailer. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining semi-trailers to ensure they meet Department of Transportation regulations and safety standards.

• Inspect and repair air brake lines, couplers, tanks, valves, shoes, drums, pads, and rotors.
• Perform body and chassis rail repairs, side-sheet, cap, door, and retainer repairs.
• Repair and replace lift gates, minor mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assemblies.
• Weld and fabricate equipment and components.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Personal set of hand tools.
• Broad knowledge of semi-trailer equipment and tools.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in fabrication and welding.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in semi-trailer repairs.
• ASE or other industry-recognized certifications.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.

Exposure to working near moving mechanical parts, in high precarious places, with toxic or caustic chemicals; fumes or airborne particles, extremes in temperature and environmental conditions.
