Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement daily lesson plans, incorporating scheduled activities and materials to meet curriculum objectives.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to ensure students meet learning objectives.
- Participate in curriculum development and assessment, ensuring alignment with professional standards and contemporary expertise.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop processes and procedures that promote student readiness and safety.
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices through ongoing professional development.
- Monitor student attendance and coordinate with the Associate Director to address any issues.
- Prepare attendance reports and maintain accurate student records.
- Implement strategies to improve student success rates and reduce withdrawals.
- Prepare and submit final grades at the end of each semester.
- Arrange guest speakers, field trips, and clinical visits to enhance student learning experiences.
- Prepare lectures, labs, and demonstrations to support student learning.
- Assist students with program curriculum and provide guidance on career development.
- Participate in departmental projects to support program goals.
- Associate's degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant or Physical Therapy program.
- Three years of full-time, post-licensure clinical experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Physical Therapist.
- Documented expertise in teaching and content delivery.
- One year of experience as an instructor in a CAPTE-accredited program (preferred).
- Current licensure, registration, or certification as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
