Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Ready Mix Driver to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. As a Ready Mix Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a large concrete truck in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver concrete to customers in a timely and customer-focused manner.
* Work with customers on site to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
* Visually inspect concrete mix for correct slump and constituents.
* Collaborate with the dispatch team to ensure the quickest and safest route to jobs.
* Maintain superior public relations in the performance of duties.
* Observe all safety precautions and rules/laws specified by site, city, state, federal, and Company regulations and policies.
* Maintain vehicle in a clean, organized, and safe fashion.

Requirements:

* Current Commercial Class B driver's license with airbrakes. We offer a veteran-sponsored CDL program for those who qualify.
* Safe driving record with no serious moving violations within the past 36 months and no more than two moving violations within the past 24 months.
* Ability to read a map and understand verbal and GPS driving route instructions.
* Proven communication and problem-solving skills while working with customers.
* Good attendance and punctuality are essential.
* Possess a solid knowledge of local and state transportation regulations.
* Display or have some mechanical aptitude for minor preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections.
* Must have the initiative to work independently and be a team player.
* Ability to work in extreme temperatures and physically demanding environments.
* Must be able to lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.) and perform other physically demanding tasks.

Conditions of Employment:

* Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
* Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment:

* Role operations primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
