We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As an essential member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will perform ultrasound procedures, obtain quality images, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnoses.
ResponsibilitiesThe Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for:
- Conducting ultrasound procedures and ensuring high-quality image acquisition.
- Managing all ultrasound equipment, recognizing significant diagnostic information, and utilizing independent judgment and decision-making in complex situations.
- Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans.
- Providing excellent patient care, including preparing examination rooms, monitoring inventory of supplies, and maintaining room cleanliness.
To succeed as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will need:
- A degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
