The Cafeteria Service Attendant plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional hospitality to patrons at The Kitchen Café. Team members are dedicated to providing timely and friendly service, ensuring the dining area is well-stocked, clean, and organized according to established standards. The role involves working collaboratively to create a memorable experience for both guests and fellow team members.
Work Schedule: Shifts typically last 8 hours, with hours ranging from 7 AM to 6 PM, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering attentive service to guests.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the service area.
- Ensuring that products are consistently stocked and fresh.
- Preparing a variety of menu items, including sandwiches and salads.
- Efficiently fulfilling beverage orders, including espresso and other drinks, in line with company standards.
- Learning and utilizing the Micros point-of-sale system.
- Exhibiting strong cash handling capabilities.
- Keeping the work area sanitized and adhering to health regulations.
- Demonstrating knowledge of the full menu offerings.
- Cleaning and maintaining coffee and espresso machines, along with other preparation areas.
- Staying informed about The Biltmore Company, its events, and local attractions.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in hospitality or customer service is highly desirable. Candidates should possess a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to providing outstanding service to guests. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with guests in a professional manner are essential.
Basic math skills and experience handling cash and credit transactions are required. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing situations. A willingness to learn about the company's products and services is necessary.
Teamwork is vital; candidates should be proactive, exercise good judgment, and contribute positively to the team dynamic.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand or walk for extended periods. The role may involve working in varying temperature conditions.
Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
