Advanced Practice Provider, Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team as a first assist in robotic cases at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
This role involves primary management of surgical patients in the operating room in conjunction with surgical faculty and staff at CUH.
The successful candidate will assist robotic surgery cases as the bedside assistant with the operating surgeon and surgical trainee in the surgical console.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis, including psychological status.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies/results.
- Provide relevant management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers related to current care and preventive health measures.
- Collaborate in research projects and protocols; and apply evidence-based best practices to patient care.
- Graduate of a master's degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program.
- OR Master's degree or higher in nursing, documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program.
- Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Certification required. Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board.
- OR Licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by Texas State Board of Nursing. Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing. Acute Care certification.
