Work Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours/week, with flexibility as required

Compensation: $24.55 to $35.10 per hour


Position Summary:

The Audit Coordinator is responsible for executing operational, quality, financial, and administrative audits aimed at ensuring adherence to organizational policies and relevant state and federal regulations. This role involves identifying exemplary practices to meet performance and quality assurance standards. The Audit Coordinator will collaborate closely with Operations personnel to devise solutions that address findings, enhance quality, and mitigate the risk of future non-compliance.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in a relevant discipline OR an Associate's Degree accompanied by two years of auditing or compliance experience.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  3. Excellent writing, communication, and analytical capabilities.
  4. Fluency in English is required.
  5. A valid NYS Driver's License is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct Quality Assurance and billing audits, both field and desk-based, to assess compliance with OPWDD, OMIG, DQI, and other regulatory standards. Generate and compile timely reports detailing audit findings and recommendations.
  2. Collaborate with the Corporate Compliance Officer and Program Administration to ensure that corrective action plans are developed by Operations promptly and comprehensively, addressing necessary quality improvements and risks to individuals served and the organization.
  3. Oversee the implementation and follow-up of Plans of Corrective Action (POCA) and provide monthly status updates to the Corporate Compliance Officer.
  4. Perform on-site internal reviews and program evaluations using a comprehensive checklist in collaboration with the Operations team.
  5. Present completed audit findings during Exit Conferences and participate in Quarterly Corporate Compliance meetings.
  6. Maintain a tracking system for all Quality Assurance elements and produce periodic reports.
  7. Stay informed about regulations and agency quality assurance standards.
  8. Act as a primary resource for education and training on Quality Assurance and regulatory compliance, in partnership with the Operations team and training department.
  9. Assist the Corporate Compliance Officer and Director of Quality Assurance with additional quality improvement initiatives as assigned.
