Job Summary

UPMC St. Margaret is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Part-Time CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography procedures, utilizing established scan protocols, and administering contrast media as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform computed tomography procedures, including contrast administration, with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize complex imaging equipment to acquire, analyze, and reconstruct image data.
  • Ensure all exams are properly coded and tracked through the RIS system.
  • Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast as per physician orders and department policy.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Identify patients properly using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures.
  • Review patient history and assess physician orders to apply specific departmental protocols for optimal results.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.
  • ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist or certified by a CNMT program.
  • Obtain CT Board Certification within 18 months of hire date.
  • CPR or BLS certification required.
