Job Description

The primary function of this role is to oversee and direct the production of high-quality brake linings by optimizing production equipment and team members. This involves managing the production operation to ensure product quality while achieving production schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Supervision: Provide direction and leadership in resolving technical and production-related problems to ensure completion of weekly schedules.
  • Team Management: Supervise approximately 12 production operators and ensure adherence to all safety and quality requirements.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Oversee and perform maintenance work necessary in maintaining machine operations, and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays.
  • Training and Development: Train machine operators on procedures, methods, problem-solving, programming, quality requirements, and safety.
  • Quality Control: Perform set-up operations for all part numbers and verify quality by dimensional and process material testing.
  • Reporting and Inventory Management: Maintain daily production output and quality reports for transmission to corporate, and maintain inventory of essential production tools and support materials.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Management: Demonstrated leadership and management of maintenance activities, including lead/implemented plant preventative maintenance.
  • Mechanical and Electrical Knowledge: Experience with machine reliability, mechanical/electrical devices troubleshooting, and pneumatic/hydraulic maintenance.
  • Language Skills: Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and 2+ years of operating experience on mechanical assembly equipment.
