We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Pharmacy Technician I to join our team at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.
Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medication and maintain accurate patient records
- Order, stock, and distribute inventory throughout the pharmacy and institution
- Maintain competencies required as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Perform other duties as related to the specified technician function and/or assigned by the department and institution
- High school diploma/GED required; graduate of a certified pharmacy technician training program preferred
- Four (4) years of pharmacy experience required with a high school diploma/GED; no experience required for a graduate of a certified pharmacy technician training program
- Hospital pharmacy experience with parenteral and unit dose medication preparation preferred; experience with office computer software applications preferred
- Registration of Pharmacy Technician License with the State of Tennessee required; registration must be renewed every two (2) years
- Pharmacy Technician Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $34.50 per hour for the role of Certified Pharmacy Technician I - Evening Shift.
