Position Overview

The Material Handler is responsible for efficiently managing materials within a warehouse environment. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, particularly warehouse management software, is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience operating various material handling equipment such as Stand Up Dock Trucks, Order/Stock Pickers, Sit Down Forklifts, Tugger/Carts, and Walkie Riders is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume distribution center or large retail environment is preferred.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Possession of a Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SAP and/or PKMS Warehouse Management Systems is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of direct operational experience is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain forklift certification and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Support various tasks including Picking, Packing/Auditing, Loading, Replenishment, Cycle Counting, and Receiving/Put Away functions.
  • Foster a positive team environment and collaborate effectively with Supervisors, Coordinators, and other staff members.
  • Communicate openly and professionally with all team members to resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace to enhance productivity.

Performance Expectations

  • Monitor personal work performance and strive for excellence.
  • Provide constructive feedback to team leads and management regarding daily operations.
  • Understand key performance metrics and how they impact overall operations.
  • Address any inefficiencies in processes and suggest improvements.

Additional Requirements

Experience with calibration equipment is necessary, along with a strong focus on detail when handling such equipment. A minimum of 3 years' experience with SAP is also required.
