Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Preservation Technician to join our team at General Dynamics Bath Iron Works. As a key member of our preservation team, you will be responsible for performing metal surface preparation and coatings application tasks, including spray painting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform metal surface preparation and coatings application tasks, including spray painting
  • Work in confined spaces, on ladders, or in a condo lift
  • Wear a respirator as required
  • Meet the requirements of the P10 physical task analysis
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years working in ship construction and/or repair performing metal surface preparation and coatings application, including spray painting
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • NACE or similar training in coatings applications and inspections
