Job Summary

SBM Management Services is seeking a skilled Floor Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring our commercial and office spaces are clean and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to complete tasks and achieve team goals.
  • Perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Take direction from supervisors and respond to feedback.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
  • Fill in for staff shortages in custodial, recycling, or maintenance roles.
  • Support shift leads in completing punch-list items.
  • Use personal protective equipment as required for assigned tasks.
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct.
  • Understand customer service principles and satisfaction.
  • Understand reporting systems and environmental protocols.
  • Operate motorized cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors, including tile, carpet, and brick.
  • Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
  • Use chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
  • Maintain equipment properly and operate it safely.
  • Observe safety precautions, including using safety signs.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Report safety hazards as necessary.

Requirements

  • Experience in the janitorial industry is required, with floor/carpet care expertise preferred.
  • A drug test will be required, and 3+ years of experience is preferred.
  • Must pass SBM Background checks, along with Pre-employment Drug screening & E-Verify.
  • Floor Care experience and using machinery are required.
  • General Knowledge of Floor Care and Scrubbing Techniques is necessary.

Compensation and Shift

$16.00-$17.00 per hour, Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-1:30am; Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm
