Position Overview:
As a key member of our team at Waukesha Foundry, you will be responsible for executing grinding and sandblasting operations to ensure the highest quality of our castings.
Grinding Responsibilities:
- Efficiently eliminate excess material from detailed and complex castings utilizing specialized grinding equipment.
- Interpret technical documentation to uphold surface finishes, contours, and precise dimensions of castings.
- Ensure the maintenance of critical casting dimensions throughout the grinding process.
- Demonstrate knowledge of abrasive wheel replacement procedures and their application.
Sandblasting Duties:
- Adjust air pressure for optimal abrasive mixture to effectively remove excess material and achieve a polished surface.
- Clean intricate surfaces of castings while preserving their dimensional integrity.
- Maintain all necessary contours of castings, ensuring surfaces are free from debris.
General Responsibilities:
- Operate hoisting equipment safely and effectively.
- Read and comprehend master sheets for operational guidance.
- Utilize basic arithmetic skills for task execution.
- Collaborate safely within a team environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisory personnel.
