Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Women's Health team at Tuba City Regional Health Care Corp. in Tuba City, Arizona.
About the Role:This is a full-time position that will provide comprehensive healthcare services to women in our Obstetrics and Gynecology Department. The successful candidate will work under the clinical supervision of a physician and will be responsible for evaluating and initiating treatment plans, performing routine and emergency procedures, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough health and developmental histories, record findings, and contribute to critical evaluations.
- Perform basic physical assessments using observation, inspection, auscultation, percussion, palpation, and diagnostic instruments.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and special screening and developmental tests.
- Make decisions regarding medical care needs of patients, consulting with physicians or midwives as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to manage complex medical problems.
- Review and evaluate nursing and medical aspects of care plans, recognizing the need for reassessment by physicians or other healthcare professionals.
- Plan and coordinate healthcare services with other professionals and agencies involved in providing services to women.
- Provide health education and preventive services to healthy women, including family planning, nutrition guidance, common illnesses, accidents, menopause, and cancer screening.
- Order appropriate screening and diagnostic tests, including mammograms and ultrasound.
- Identify and recommend components of the medical and nursing regimen that may be delegated to allied nursing personnel.
- Participate in planning, instituting, evaluating, and revising program plans, assist in determining conditions, resources, and policies essential to delivery of healthcare services.
- Participate in studies relevant to healthcare and nursing needs of patients.
- Serve in a teaching capacity in the development of other healthcare workers.
- Masters Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
- Possess a valid, current, full and unrestricted license to practice as a nurse practitioner in any state within the United States, District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
- Must possess a certificate from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Family Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Credentialing: Must be credentialed to serve on the Medical Staff.
- Other Skills and Abilities: A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment, positive working relationships with others, possession of high ethical standards, reliable and dependable, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent clinical skills and judgment, ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment, trustworthy and willing to share information, mentor to colleagues and other organizational staff, respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints, successful completion of background and reference checks, fingerprint clearance requirements, physical examinations, and other screenings.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse patient population. The position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a high degree of judgment and leadership in coordinating emergency services. The work environment is culturally rich and diverse, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
