Volt is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems and solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems and components, including mechanical devices, mechanisms, and machines.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze data to determine the best course of action for mechanical system design and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure that mechanical systems meet design specifications and performance requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and test procedures.
- Conduct site visits and investigate engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.
- Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with some applicable design experience required.
- Three (3) years professional technical experience which includes at least one (1) year specialized experience performing mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering.
- SOLIDWORKS, Inventor, 3D CAD, Weapons System experience.
- Possess analytical abilities necessary to handle extremely complex administrative, organizational, and contract matters.
- Have a basic knowledge of computers-able to input and extract data, prepare briefings, transmit documents.
- Possess excellent oral, written, and communication skills; Able to address a variety of audiences.
- Able to give attention to detail and execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to deal with customers and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
- Valid Drivers' License required.
- Candidates selected must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
