About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Arlington, VA. This is a full-time position with an estimated salary of $120,000-$160,000 per year.

Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity for a mechanical engineer to lead and contribute to various projects in our Property and Buildings Team. As a Lead Mechanical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance on multi-site/phase due diligence, design, development, building, testing, and inspecting of mechanical systems.

You will work closely with architects and owners from around the world on high-quality, high-profile, complex projects focusing on sustainability and energy performance of the built environment. Your responsibilities will include research, design, concept development, planning, installation, operation, maintenance, and optimal integration of automatic temperature control, air distribution, hydronic, and plumbing systems, equipment, and processes.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline. A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant post-education experience in mechanical design and engineering is required. Engineer in Training Certification and a working knowledge of relevant mechanical system and construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements are also essential.
