We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our Adult ED Float Pool team on a per diem basis. As a Specialty II RN, you will provide direct patient care on assigned units, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care on assigned units, demonstrating flexibility and competency to work with diverse patient populations.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, including admission, transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate patient learning needs and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel and may precept student nurses and new hires.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
- Two (2) years of nursing experience in the field of specialty.
- Accredited program in nursing.
- BLS American Heart E-Card or equivalent certification.
- Registered Nurse License in the State of Florida.
This role requires critical thinking skills, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to build and foster positive relationships. The incumbent must be able to lead others and take appropriate action when required. Required to work throughout the South Broward Hospital District in specialty units treating a diverse range of patients under changing circumstances and challenges in different settings.
