DePaul Senior Living Community is seeking a skilled Medication Technician to join our team of dedicated care providers. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely administration of prescribed medication and treatment to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer medication and treatment to residents in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
- Document medication administration and resident responses in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and medication room.
- Order and manage medication and supplies as needed.
- Process physician orders and transcribe orders to the Medication Administration Record.
- Must pass the Medication Technician training provided by DePaul within 90 days of Medication Skills Checklist.
- Must possess a working knowledge of resident care, particularly with the geriatric and adult special care needs population.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have the required references and criminal record check.
- Must be in good standing with the Healthcare Personnel Registry.
- Must have the required annual Tuberculosis (TB) testing and Annual Health Assessment in accordance with New York State Regulations.
