Job Overview

Hibbett Retail, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Retail Operations Manager Trainee to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Establishing Action Plans: Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement action plans to achieve departmental and overall store responsibilities, including selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Assume responsibility for the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager and provide guidance and training to employees in all departments as needed.
  • Monitor Inventory and Sales: Be aware of inventory levels, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments and direct staff to ensure each department's responsibilities and standards are completed.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Ensure quality customer service is maintained and promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear.
  • Protect Company Assets: Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1-3 years of customer service experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
  • Qualities: Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked, team-player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
