The compensation for this role is $35.00/hr; however, the base salary may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and market conditions.

General Overview:


As an Automotive Service Technician at one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers, your responsibilities will include professionally inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing tires while providing outstanding customer service.

You will also have the chance to mentor others and continuously learn about new advancements in the rapidly evolving automotive sector, all while thriving in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Performing line technician services, conducting routine inspections and maintenance, executing system diagnostics, and troubleshooting full automotive issues, including road testing vehicles post-repair to ensure mechanical integrity and identify any additional concerns.

Handling brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, fuel ignition systems, electrical components, air conditioning, computer systems, and power-train management systems, along with road tests for diagnosis and service recommendations.

Exhibiting a commitment to learning new technologies in the fast-paced automotive industry.
Delivering exceptional customer service, which entails clear communication and feedback regarding customer vehicles. Providing guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level automotive technicians.
Documenting all work performed on the repair order.
Reporting any safety concerns immediately to management.
Encouraging teamwork to ensure timely and accurate customer care during all operating hours.
Maintaining strict adherence to company policies regarding vehicle care and operation.

Performing a variety of manual tasks for extended periods, which may include light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.


Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive diagnosis, problem-solving, and repairs.
Valid driver's license.
Must be at least 18 years old.
No relocation assistance is offered for this position.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
ASE Certifications.
Previous experience with exhaust, fuel ignition systems, electrical systems, air conditioning, computer systems, and power-train management systems.

Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify issues, and make informed decisions.
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow procedures and guidelines.
Depending on location, our stores may operate 7 days a week, which may include weekends and some holidays.
Commitment to adhering to established safety policies and procedures.
