Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of various equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair medical equipment, plumbing, heating, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Assist with fire alarm system shutdown, generator, and electric testing as directed.
  • Fabricate minor repair parts and components as required.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and identify problems with mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • May perform sheet metal cutting, welding, and soldering duties.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, calculate, and follow instructions and procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, heating, electrical, and mechanical techniques and repair principles.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Reading (English), writing (English), and ability to utilize Computer to input work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Work Order System with minimal training within (60) days of employment required.
  • One to three years experience. Trade school completion preferred.
