About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at the University of California San Francisco. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in the preparation, processing, and maintenance of supplies and equipment, and function as a surgical team member during operative procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of surgical supplies and equipment
  • Function as a surgical team member during operative procedures
  • Provide support to the surgical team in maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Two years of recent scrubbing clinical experience in an operating room setting
  • Recent experience scrubbing in at least three of the following service lines: Pain/Spine, Ophthalmology, GYN, GU, General Surgery, OHNS, Robotics, and Plastics
  • Demonstrated proficiency in at least two of the surgical specialties listed above
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR for healthcare providers certification
  • Graduate of a surgical technologist training program or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications

Certification as a Surgical Technologist and scrub experience in Ophthalmology, OHNS, and Robotics are highly desirable.
