Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist

Atrium Health - 10628 Park Rd. is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Invasive Cardiac Laboratory, you will provide professional care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a safe work environment and performing all related job responsibilities in a safe manner.
The ideal candidate will have certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist, or equivalent. Additionally, they must maintain current BLS, ACLS, and CCI requirements. Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is also essential.
Responsibilities will include assisting in maintaining a safe work environment, performing all related job responsibilities in a safe manner, and maintaining clinical and professional competency. The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting unit efforts in performance excellence, growth, quality, customer service, employee engagement, and community benefit.
Key Requirements:
- Intermittent to rapid pace with high-pressure situations, requiring periods of prolonged concentration and critical thinking.
- Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 50 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination.
- Standing and walking while wearing 10-20 lbs lead radiation protection aprons.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Potential exposure to radiation, secretions, and blood.
- Confined work area
Essential Functions:

- Supports and contributes to the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy by understanding that every staff member is a Caregiver whose role is to meet the needs of each patient.
- Performs care for the comfort and well-being of the patient.
- Performs and/or assists with treatments, therapies, and procedures (including scrub assistant, monitoring and circulating) under the direction of the physician.
- Administers medication under the direct supervision of the physician.
- Documents a current clinical picture and records designated information in the patient record.
Additional Details:
- Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist/Electrophysiology Specialist training or experience preferred.
