Job Summary

VirTra, Inc. is seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and testing complex electronic and mechanical assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test electrical and mechanical assemblies, including surface mount soldering and through-hole component soldering.
  • Use basic test and troubleshooting tools, such as volt/ohm meters and digital scopes, to identify and resolve issues.
  • Work with complex small electrical components and hardware, including 0201 chip resistors and 0-80 screws.
  • Use a microscope for extended periods to inspect and assemble components.
  • Operate mechanical hand tools and basic machine tools, such as drills, Dremel tools, and grinding wheels.
  • Perform daily and weekly shop cleanup and organization.
  • Comply with department ISO 9001 processes and company quality policy.
  • Manage and log time worked daily by project code.
  • Provide miscellaneous support to other departments, as needed.
Requirements
  • High school or technical school graduate.
  • 5 years previous experience in electrical assembly.
  • Small part assembly experience a plus.
  • IPC-A-610 certification a plus.
Working Conditions

The 2nd shift position will require working Monday through Friday, 2:15pm to 10:45pm. Long hours and weekend work may be required due to production, rework, or customer deadlines.
