Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Montessori Educator who is adaptable, collaborative, and possesses excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a proactive approach to teaching. Our program caters to children aged 2 to 6 years.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Compensation and Benefits:

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify as an ECE Teacher in Hawaii, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
1. A degree in Childhood Development or Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution, along with 6 months of relevant experience.
2. A CDA or an equivalent post-secondary credential with 1 year of supervised teaching experience in an Early Childhood setting.
3. 60 college credits in a degree program, including 16 credits in Early Childhood Education, and 1 year of supervised teaching experience.
4. A Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with 6 credits in approved ECE and/or CD courses, plus 6 months of experience in an Early Childhood Program.
5. A Bachelor’s degree in any field with 12 credits in approved ECE and/or CD courses, along with 6 months of experience.
All ECE Teachers must be registered with the PATCH / Department of Human Services Early Childhood Registry and possess a Caregiver ID. A job offer is contingent upon meeting the qualification requirements set by the DHS Early Childhood Registry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Montessori Teaching Credential from an AMS, AMI, or MACTE accredited institution.
- Enrollment in a Montessori teacher training program from a MACTE-accredited institution.
- At least one year of verifiable experience as a lead teacher in a licensed group care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive educational program that meets the individual and collective needs of students.
- Maintain a prepared Montessori environment that aligns with the school’s mission and values.
- Collaborate with faculty to enhance the quality of learning and participate actively in the school community.
- Plan and conduct lessons for both individuals and small groups, keeping detailed student records and portfolios.
- Manage classroom activities, schedules, and student behavior, ensuring a positive learning atmosphere.
- Engage with families through regular conferences and communication regarding student progress.
Additional Duties:
- Attend staff meetings, participate in evaluations, and contribute to school events and fundraising activities.
- Write a monthly newsletter to keep families informed and engaged.
- Advocate for high-quality childcare and early education practices.
