About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our team at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System. As a Clinical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Acute Care Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the healthcare team in preventing illness and promoting wellness.
  • Provide direction and education while beginning to develop leadership skills.
  • Deliver and document direct, age-specific care based on medical orders and multidisciplinary plans.
  • Safely administer prescribed medications and identify potential incompatibilities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible/compact state.
  • 12-24 months of RN experience (for Clin II). 3 years of clinical experience (for Clin III).
  • A Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program recognized and/or approved by the corresponding state's Board of Nursing.
  • Ability to work all three shifts, weekends, and holidays.
