The City of Roseville, CA is seeking a Courier Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Parks Recreation & Libraries Department, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to various locations throughout the city.

This is a temporary/part-time position, working approximately 15 hours per week. You will assist with deliveries between the City's 3 public libraries, utilizing your knowledge of safe driving practices and modern office procedures. Your excellent communication skills and customer service abilities will ensure that you provide exceptional experiences for our community members.

In this role, you will perform duties involving the pick-up, delivery and sorting of incoming City mail and interoffice mail; prepare outgoing mail for shipment; and track postage charges to appropriate departments. You will work under general supervision from the Purchasing Supervisor and exercise independent judgment in making decisions regarding route planning and mail distribution.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of experience performing courier duties preferred
  • Valid California driver's license required
