Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Same Day Surgery team at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. As a RN Day Surgery Nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care to individuals during pre-operative and post-operative invasive procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain and document patients' medical history and assessments in a timely manner, interventions, pre and post-operative documentation in Meditech to meet state and hospital guidelines and policies.
  • Provide pre and post-operative education in a manner that is appropriate for patient understanding and learning ability.
  • Interact with physicians, nursing staff, other departments, patients, and families in a positive and professional manner.
  • Evaluate and document histories and assess risk factors that may interfere with administration of anesthesia or delay surgical procedure.
  • Provide and respond to patient needs and emergencies appropriately, including but not limited to pre and post-operative care, pulmonary, nutritional, IV therapy, and pain management.
Requirements
  • Current State of Idaho Registered Nurse License or Compact RN License.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • One (1) year RN experience.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree.
