We are seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team at SSM Health. As a Radiology Tech, you will be responsible for taking x-rays of designated parts of the human body for diagnostic purposes and providing support for the imaging department.
Key Responsibilities- Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and provide appropriate educational material.
- Transport patients to and from clinical areas and verify patient identity according to policies and procedures.
- Prepare patients for radiology exams by positioning them for the procedure and follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Monitor patient activity during procedures and report any abnormal activity.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS and maintain a clean and orderly department.
- Completion of a radiology certification program.
- No experience required.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.
- Radiographer, Licensed certification.
- ARRT-R Radiography certification.
